In March 2024, I began working for Slingerland Literacy Institute as a freelance graphic designer. My first job for them was the redesign of a teaching manual that had not been updated since the 1980s. These books are used as lesson plan guides for elementary level teachers as they teach children to read and write, with an emphasis on learning with dyslexia.
In my time working for Slingerland, I have done the publication design of four different books, several sets of flash cards, and multiple charts and posters. I have also created handwriting guides for manuscript and cursive alphabets, as seen below.
